Mission Focused

Through these relationships, better access to English classes, job skill training, afterschool tutoring, and other services are provided.

It was a blessing to see people of all ages come forward this past Sunday to participate in the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering! It is a joy to give to this worthy cause, especially knowing that our gifts are going directly to the mission field to enable faithful servants to share the life transforming gospel with those who desperately need to hear it.
The video that we watched by Dr. Kevin Ezell, President of the North America Mission Board, gave us a clearer understanding of the ministry that is done by these faithful servants. We saw that the mission of NAMB is multi-faceted, but one of the things that Dr. Ezell highlighted was that there are 20 Ministry Centers located throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico which are funded by gifts that you and I give. These Ministry Centers are varied in their scope, but each one is similar in its purpose – to meet the physical and spiritual needs of men, women and children.

The Ministry Center which is relatively close to us and which we will likely send missionaries to one day is in Clarkston, GA – a suburb of Atlanta. This community is unique in that it is home to one of the most diverse populations in America. In Clarkston, 60-70% of the population is born outside of the United States, resulting in more than 50 countries and 100 ethnic groups all residing within the same 1.4 square miles. The center provides services to these international families through strategic relationships with churches and ministries. Through these relationships, better access to English classes, job skill training, afterschool tutoring, and other services are provided.

By giving toward FBC’s goal of $40,000 and the national goal of $70,000,000, you are helping to support vital ministries like this one in Clarkston, GA. It’s not too late to give to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering and support mission endeavors across North America. You may do so in the regular Sunday AM offering or online at fbcheadland.com (please notate AAEO).

And who knows, one day you may participate in a mission trip to the Clarkston Ministry Center by praying, giving or going!

Sincerely His,
Tim Gay
