The new church year officially began for those serving in teaching and committee ministries. August 1, also marks the beginning of our preparation of the budget for the upcoming year. Our budget is literally prepared for the people by the people. It is prepared from the ground up with each committee having the honor and responsibility of submitting their Budget Requests and Ministry Goals for the upcoming year.
This is accomplished by each committee chair receiving a Ministry Planning Packet. The packet contains all that is needed to complete 2024’s budget requests.
Ministry Planning Packets have been mailed to all Committee Chairpersons. Your committee’s chairperson will be contacting you soon to discuss plans for next year’s ministry and to get your help in completing next year’s budget request. Also, to better help you understand your role in serving with your committee, the committee job description is included in the packet. Because it is important for each committee to understand the role that the church has entrusted to it, each committee should carefully review it’s job description.
Remember, we ask that all Budget Requests and Ministry Goals be returned to the Church Office by Sunday, September 3, so that the Stewardship Committee can begin their work of compiling our 2024 Church Budget.
