Senior Pastor

Cecil was called to serve First Baptist Church as Senior Pastor in 2001.  He and his wife, Lynn, have two daughters, Bryley (Nick) Weaver and Brooke.  Bryley and Nick have blessed Cecil with their first grandchild, Gracelynn. Cecil is thankful to God for the educational experiences and training he received at Wheaton College (IL), Dallas Theological Seminary and Beeson Divinity School.  He thoroughly enjoys his ministry of preaching, teaching, loving and leading God’s people to be a church that glorifies God.  In his spare time, Cecil finds therapy from working in the yard, enjoying ‘healthy’ eating with Lynn, fishing with his dad, traveling to visit his daughters and running the streets of Headland.
